If I cannot do great things, I can do small things in a great way.
Martin Luther King, JR.
Starting my weekend morning by enjoying a soulful cup of earl grey tea with extra bergamot and a splash of half and half. Something to warm me up, wake me and bring me to being aware of this day. When I have these moments like this where I can be present, I immediately start to examine my weeks progress and any big gains I’d accomplished. Anything that I can cross off of my list brings a smile to my face yet what if I didn’t get the opportunity to fully accomplish or complete a goal? Am I still standing? Are the kids still okay? Is the house in great condition and flowing as it should? It is! Small leaps. I accomplished small leaps and that is all that matters.
leap | lēp | verb : jump or spring a long way, to a great height, or with a great force
– New Oxford American Dictionary
I faced my week down with great force and yet somethings were left unturned and untouched, some tasks and desires were greeted and completed. Yet I am learning leaps are just as powerful and make impact just as a jump would.
So as I continue to sip this cup of glory, I mean tea, with a smirk all while high-fiving my awesome self for a week well done.
Small leaps are taking you places. Don’t forget they add up to something huge in the making. A JOURNEY.
