Early Grey Tea + Cream
Total Time: 5 minutes
mug of choice
1 tbsp of loose leaf early grey tea leaves with bergamot (my favorite here with extra bergamot)
honey to sweeten (or brown rock sugar!)
heavy cream to flavor and smoothness
Set the kettle to black tea or at boiling at around 200 degrees F. Once desired temperature is reached add loose leaf tea in the strainer or filter of choice, or even the strainer for the kettle if available. Steep for 2-4 minutes max, mostly until the aroma of bergamot dances around. Immediately pour in cup and discard remaining leaves. Add honey or brown rock sugar and splash it with heavy cream.
Enjoy with stroopwafels, tea biscuits or simply enjoy the moment with the tea all by itself.
My all time favorite earl grey was made and sold by Teavana! It was a creme and it was devine!
I prefer heavy cream or half and half with all my teas.
Don’t keep the tea leaves within the water or cup as tea will become bitter and stressed.
